As more buyers compete for a decreased supply, median closing prices are up and the number of days homes remain on the market continues to decline. However, there is a different trend in inventory as we move away from suburban to urban areas. Active areas of the city, including the northwest and southeast, have experienced a burst of new home construction, which has helped to relieve the overwhelming demand and has positively impacted the market.
